Vishal Superspeciality Hospital offers 24 hours round the clock ambulance services, geared to meet any emergency - surgical or medical. An ambulance that can take care of the patient, right from the site of the accident or illness and can make available to him at his doorstep all the medical expertise and advances in patient care.

The ambulance, which is a Mobile Critical Care Unit, provides the patient, the same care as would be available in any well-equipped intensive care unit, during his / her transit to the hospital. Designed along the lines of the modern Hi-Tech Ambulances, it has all the fitments for an emergency unit including a two-way communication system.

It is manned by a doctor and trained para-medical personnel. A telescopic stretcher, which doubles as a trolley, minimizes the effort for transfer of the patient. Special shock absorbers on the vehicle allow for a smooth journey. Moreover, the unit being air conditioned, it provides maximum comfort to the patient while travelling. Following are some of the unique facilities available with the Ambulance -

i) The Mobile Critical Care Team
A doctor, trained in Intensive Care, will always be on board. To assist him with the patient, will be a male nurse and a ward-boy, apart from the driver, who would also help in the shifting of the patient.
ii) Ventilator
This is a breathing machine. It supplies oxygen to all patients, whether adults, or children.
iii) Defibrillator
This is used to shock a diseased heart to bring it back to normalcy.
iv) Suction Machine
To take out secretions (sputum) from the lungs.
v) Emergency Kit
This is a light-weight Aluminum suitcase, containing all emergency drug, equipment and infusions (drips). It is carried by the Mobile Critical Care Team to start emergency treatment on the spot.
